Job summary

A growing renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead technical and commercial aspects of solar PV and battery energy storage projects. Responsibilities include managing project budgets, overseeing contractor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of project management experience, including familiarity with electrical systems and procurement contracts. This position is based in New York City and involves some field travel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project execution experience, with at least 4 years in commercial or utility-scale solar PV or BESS project management.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial/industrial battery energy storage (BESS) experience.
• Strong understanding of three-phase electrical systems and familiarity with NEC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site assessments to evaluate project viability.
• Prepare and manage RFPs and key EPC/design-procurement contracts.
• Own project budgets (min. $5MM) and schedules from initiation to operational handoff.
