Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions seeks a Project Logistics Lead to own end-to-end logistics for multiple MEI projects, coordinating with PMs, site teams, and carriers to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.

You will source and dispatch carriers, manage freight costs, and provide visibility to stakeholders. The role includes mentoring Logistics Analysts and driving continuous improvements in logistics processes.

Qualifications

• : Three or more years of logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or project/site logistics operations with end-to-end ownership.
• : Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
• : Strong carrier sourcing and routing judgment with knowledge of over-the-road modes and equipment.
• : Proficient with Windows, MS Office, TMS, and CRM software.
• : Excellent verbal and written communication for relationships with PMs, carriers, and customers.
• : Self-management, organization, and problem-solving with mentorship capability.
• : Knowledge of DOT and applicable transportation regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• : Own a portfolio of assigned MEI projects end-to-end as the logistics point of contact.
• : Translate project schedules into delivery plans with site requirements.
• : Source, book, and dispatch carriers from MEI's approved network.
• : Manage freight cost and service outcomes, focusing on on-time/on-budget performance.
• :Identify and resolve transportation issues independently.
• : Coordinate with warehouse teams for inbound/outbound shipments and delivery expectations.
• : Provide project-level cost, status, and performance reporting.
• : Guide Logistics Analysts and establish consistent execution practices.
• : Support quotes, rate benchmarking, and new-lane pricing with data.
• : Contribute to process improvements and playbooks.
• : Ensure compliance with transportation and safety regulations.
