Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) provides payroll services at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, TX. You will perform payroll processing bi-weekly and support accounting functions per both MTC and customer directives.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1 year of payroll/accounting experience; familiarity with automated systems is preferred. Texas driver’s license required unless waived; full-time schedule with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of varied and responsible accounting or payroll experience.
• Academic training in bookkeeping, accounting or payroll desired.
• Experience with automated accounting and payroll systems or programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing bi-weekly following prescribed steps.
• Maintain payroll and leave administration systems including verification of leave balances.
• Coordinate with staff and management on payroll queries and issues.
• Calculate and process final checks, pay changes, and garnishments.
• Maintain payroll records including archiving and filing.
• Verify and process time adjustments.
• Assist with bank deposits, including driving to the bank.
• Process invoices and payments to subcontractors.
• Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Support positive social skills and safe workplace practices.
