Job summary

MD Billing is seeking a skilled medical billing specialist to manage the full end-to-end process for Family Medicine providers. You will code and submit claims, work denied and rejected claims, and ensure accurate charge capture within the EMR system.

The role requires knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM, E/M guidelines, and payer-specific rules, with 2–5 years of family practice experience and a medical coding certification preferred. On-site or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in family practice facility.
• Current certification CPC, AHIMA (preferred).
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM.
• Knowledge of E/M coding guidelines including outpatient, CCM, Annual Wellness, etc.
• Knowledge of LCD, NCD and NCCI edits.
• Extensive knowledge of payer guidelines (Medicare, HMO, PPO, MA).
• EMR experience (eClinical preferred).
• Knowledge of medical practice revenue processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full end to end process of Family Medicine providers assigned.
• Claim Coding and Submission.
• Rejected Claims and Denied Claims handling.
• Work closely with providers and staff to ensure timely billing processes.
• Maintain charge capture and sequencing within the EMR system.
