Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Capital Equipment Mechanical Design Engineer to turn customer needs into practical designs for new equipment and replacement parts, from concept through installation. The role spans mechanical and electromechanical products and plant systems.

You will lead projects, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure designs meet specs, quality standards, and safety requirements. Field and office work with occasional travel to customer locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to translate customer needs into equipment concepts.
• Experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with drafting standards and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering programs with milestones, mappings, and budgets.
• Design and document 3D models and detailed drawings for components.
• Prepare installation, operation and maintenance manuals.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Production and Service for support.
• Travel as needed to sites and customer locations.
