Job Description

The End Point Technician is responsible for basic installation and troubleshooting of personal computer hardware and software within a LAN/WAN environment. Activities include daily administration, setup, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.

  1. Timely installation and repair of computer system hardware, operating systems, software, and peripherals.
  2. Timely installation and configuration of VOIP telephones.
  3. Provide onsite and offsite end-user support.
  4. Setup and configure A/V equipment for meetings.
  5. Manage assigned service requests.
  6. Maintain inventory accuracy of computer hardware.
  7. Test new software and hardware for compatibility.
  8. Escalate high-impact or VIP technology issues.
  9. Maintain and build positive customer relationships.
  10. Provide training on PC use, connecting to the corporate network, and peripheral usage.
  11. Participate as a technical resource in both large and small projects.
  12. Develop, document, and implement technology policies and procedures.
  13. Work closely with IT teams to ensure effective communication and project escalation.
  14. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science or Networking.
  • Three (3) or more years of enterprise experience supporting 2500+ clients with Microsoft Windows Clients (XP/Windows 7) in a Windows 2008 Active Directory environment.
  • Experience using SCCM (MDT/OSD) for imaging PCs.
  • Experience supporting offsite end users via remote support tools (LogMeIn Rescue and Configuration Manager).
  • Knowledge of Windows networking including DHCP, DNS, WINS, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of hardware component repair (desktop, notebook, printer).
  • Knowledge of major client software packages (MS Office 2010/2013, McAfee, Oracle, IBM Client Access, FTP, Adobe, Cisco Call Center, Remedy, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange mailbox management.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve problems.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality work while supporting multiple critical projects.
Additional Information

In support of pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is between $18.70 and $32.86. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, training, location, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
