Job summary

Pero Family Farms in Hanover, PA is seeking an End-of-Line Operator to safely operate, monitor, and support automated packaging equipment. Hands-on with Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) and/or FSW bagging systems, this role ensures product quality, package integrity, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include setup, changeovers, film threading, weight and seal checks, and maintaining accurate production records while collaborating with Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating VFFS packaging equipment or FSW baggers.
• 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or high-speed environments preferred.
• Experience with packaging equipment setup, changeovers, film changes, machine adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust VFFS and FSW bagging equipment according to product specs.
• Perform start-up, shutdown, product changeover, and end-of-run procedures.
• Load and thread packaging film; ensure correct film alignment.
• Monitor bag formation, sealing, cutting, filling, and discharge for quality.
• Adjust machine settings (bag length, seal temp, timing, film tracking, fill, line speed).
• Maintain documentation of production, downtime, quality, waste, and equipment.
