Job summary

Crown Holdings in Minnesota is seeking a committed end center packaging operator to safely assemble and palletize finished products. You will monitor the packaging line, perform quality checks, and help troubleshoot production issues to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding of applicable safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Able to learn and operate forklift safely.
• Attention to detail to catch and report errors for high-quality output.
• Ability to learn and understand the end line process, materials, and customer specs.
• Problem solving, both individually and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Operate the end center packaging station and assemble finished product on pallets.
• Assist in troubleshooting the production process and clear machine jams as needed.
• Perform visual checks of finished ends to ensure process meets compliance standards and take corrective actions.
• Maintain supply of materials for End Center production, including sorting and stacking pallets and changing shrink wrap.
• Upend and load coils onto End Center unwinder and manage scrap dumpsters as needed.
• Ensure End Center finished product is properly cured, wrapped and stored and perform quality checks as required.
• Check forklift conditions and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and follow all safety procedures and practices.
• Support other areas to help can flow through the plant.
• Perform other duties as required.
