Encore Project Manager - NYS HCRA (Finance)

Project Manager for the New York State HCRA examination at The Cigna Group. Acts as an intermediary between matrix partners (e.g., Accounting, Claims, Eligibility, Compliance, Legal) and KPMG NY State examiners. Facilitates meetings with matrix partners to gather information in response to DOI requests. Serves as the "face-to-the-auditor" during the exam. Tracks all requests and motivates matrix partners to meet deadlines with proper responses. Reviews responses to ensure they are appropriate, thorough, and consistent with other responses. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively present to examiners and internal management, including senior leadership. Experience in project management, coordinating exams, or working with state examiners, along with knowledge of regulatory filings, is advantageous.

  • Proven track record of delivering results and influencing across a matrixed organization
  • Effective communicator capable of interpreting exam requests for matrix partners
  • Successful experience working with state examiners
  • Ability to work with various management levels, including senior leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Efficiently manages multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high quality
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is helpful
  • Basic Excel skills are beneficial
  • Prior Cigna experience is strongly preferred
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or MBA preferred
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Cigna retiree
