Job summary

Gale Associates, Inc. in Glastonbury, CT is seeking a Building Enclosure & Structural Engineer to join our team.

The role focuses on evaluating, designing and administering construction for building enclosures, roofs, facades and waterproofing, with a preference for exterior historic restoration experience. You will prepare calculations and design documents, conduct field evaluations, coordinate with clients, and represent Gale at meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or architecture for building enclosure work.
• Minimum 4+ years in building enclosure renovations/rehabilitations.
• Registration as P.E. or RA preferred or able to obtain.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Designer on projects involving building enclosures and structural support for roofs and facades.
• Conduct evaluations, design, and construction administration; include historic restoration experience preferred.
• Prepare calculations, reports, design documents, and specifications; support field and forensic evaluations.
• Act as on-site liaison with client at meetings and presentations.
