Qualifications

• Satisfactory driving history / Clean driving record.
• Background check.
• Negative Drug Test required
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to lift a 300 pound patient with a partner

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and QA procedures.
• Keeps aware of changes in company policies.
• Maintains EMT-B certification per state requirements.
• Complies with state and company vehicle operation requirements.
• Operates a company vehicle according to policies and safe practices.
• Keeps unit ready in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and appearance.
• Reports discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards to Operations.
• Completes documentation as outlined in policies.
• Reports problems to Supervisor/Operations Manager.
• Maintains professional appearance per hygiene and uniform standards.
• Attends mandatory in-service training.
• Performs other duties as defined in the job description.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures.


• Maintains awareness of any and all changes in company policies.


• Maintains an EMT-B level certification consistent with the state of operation,


• Complies with all state and company requirements in the operation of a motor vehicle.


• Operates a company vehicle in accordance with company policies and safe practices.


• Ensures the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and appearance standards.


• Reports immediately to Operations any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.


• Completes all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policies.


• Reports all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.


• Maintains a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniforms standards.


• Attends all mandatory in-service training.


• Other Duties as defined in the job description.
