Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Per Diem. Weekend and Overnight Available.
Salary Range: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responsibilities include:
- Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, stabilizing patients before transport.
- Providing lifesaving treatments, monitoring vitals, checking oxygen levels, and handling any situation within the EMT scope of practice.
- Non-emergency patient transport to hospitals and other medical facilities.
- Driving emergency vehicles safely, responsibly, and quickly.
- Wearing and handling personal protective equipment and following CDC guidelines.
- Lifting up to 150 pounds and working up to 12-hour shifts.
- Providing first-aid treatment such as bandaging wounds.
- Providing basic life support (CPR) when needed.
- Assessing patient conditions and determining if transport to an ER or trauma center is required.
- Communicating with dispatch resources (e.g., ALS).
- Documenting each call with timestamps, vitals, and patient condition.
- Ensuring ambulances are fully stocked before and after each shift, performing rig checks and equipment tests.
- Restocking supplies, checking expiration dates, and disinfecting ambulances after calls.

- General Doctor appointments, Psych related admissions/transfers, and Discharges

Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years old to treat patients.
- Minimum 23 years old to drive.
- At least 2 years of driving experience.
- Clean driver license in NJ, PA, or NY with fewer than 2 at-fault accidents or moving violations in the last 5 years.
- Defensive Driving Certificate by the National Safety Council (training paid for and provided by Life Ride).
- EMT-B certification.
- BLS Provider CPR certificate (training paid for and provided by Life Ride).
