Job summary

UPMC is seeking full-time and casual Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our teams at UPMC Cole, UPMC Wellsboro, and UPMC Williamsport. These roles feature rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified full-time EMTs.

As an EMT, you will provide transport and basic life support care in the pre-hospital setting, performing local and long-distance transports and collaborating with PA

Qualifications

• Two-year work commitment required with acceptance of the sign-on bonus.
• Job title and compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and non-emergency patient transport locally and long-distance.
• Assist with patient restraint and ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Perform patient assessments and deliver basic life support for all ages.
• Operate ambulances and patient vehicles per Pennsylvania Vehicle Code and health regs.
• Perform AED when indicated.
• Complete patient care reports and required state documentation.
• Daily vehicle and equipment checks; report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with Lycoming County Communications Center and Fire/EMS via radio/cell.
• Restock supplies, clean equipment, and manage inventory and transfers.
• Transport special-needs patients with custodial coaching when required.
