Job summary

EMT/Security Officer position in Kentucky requires EMT certification and a valid KY driver’s license. You will respond to emergencies, conduct scene size-up, and relay information to dispatch and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Ability to complete patrols and respond to emergencies.
• Strong technology skills (cell phone/computer).
• Prior security/EMT experience preferred.
• Driver certification required; Kentucky EMT certification required; valid KY driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency scenes including fire, medical, bomb threats, and other incidents.
• Performs scene size up and relays information to dispatch and on-duty supervisor.
• Performs rescue procedures and fire suppression with equipment as needed.
• Responds to hazardous material and medical emergencies, initiates patient assessment and transport to on-site clinic.
• Relays patient care information to medical personnel and documents treatments.
• Provides standard security duties such as opening doors, escorts, patrolling, and reporting irregularities.
• Prepares logs and reports as required.
• Other related duties as assigned.
