Job summary

Stoneridge Creek Pleasanton is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician - EMT / Safety Officer to monitor doors and conduct rounds, ensuring a secure environment for residents and staff. The role requires California EMT certification and current CPR with AED, with weekend availability and a 40-hour weekly schedule.

The EMT Safety Officer responds to emergencies, adheres to first responder protocols, and supports the Safety Director with training and mock drills.

Qualifications

• California State EMT Certification is required.
• Current CPR with AED certification is required.
• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English with strong written skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to all emergency situations in the community following proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies.
• Assist the Safety Director with random mock testing and staff training for emergency preparedness.
• Conduct scheduled rounds inside and outside the community to maintain security for residents and property, carrying a medical bag/A.E.D.
• Greet and direct residents, visitors, staff, and vendors at the Safety Kiosk to project a positive image of the Community.
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies, ensure policy compliance, and report discrepancies to the Safety Director.
• Maintain communication with Safety personnel during shifts.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service and hospitality in all interactions and document complaints professionally.

Education

CALIFORNIA STATE EMT CERTIFICATION

Current CPR with AED

Eighteen years of age or older

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to speak, read and understand English
