Job summary

USA Health on the Gulf Coast is seeking an EMT to join our emergency response team in Mobile, AL. You will provide on-scene and transport care, assess injuries, operate medical equipment, and document patient status for the next level of care.

Requirements include high school diploma, EMT course completion, and Alabama EMT licensure; BCLS is required at hire, ACLS preferred. Training and safety standards are core to our mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and EMT course graduation.
• EMT licensure valid in Alabama.
• BCLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport
• Arrives to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action
• Uses appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury
• Monitors patient condition and performs data collection
• Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Staff Nurse
• Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
• Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
• Regular and prompt attendance
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
• Related duties as assigned
