Job summary

AMR in North Charleston, South Carolina is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care and customer service to patients. You will assess patients, determine needed care, and provide emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, state EMT license, national license, and a valid driver's license, plus BLS and NREMT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• National license.
• State EMT License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and determine necessary care.
• Document patient information and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills and equipment for patient care.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
