Medcor is looking to hire an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based, occupational health clinic in Chicago, IL. The hours available are Sunday-Thursday, 6:00am-2:00pm.

Since this is on an as-needed basis, there are no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up occasional shifts, we invite you to apply.

The responsibilities include collaboration with medical and operational leadership, patient care, workers’ compensation case management, RTW program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring, often working closely with outside providers.

A typical day:

• Participate in daily clinic operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
• Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses following Medcor’s protocols.
• Build internal team relationships and support wellness initiatives.
• Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings.
• Document care using EMR systems.
• Manage cases and maintain medical charts.

You Must:

• Love what you do.
• Hold valid licensure for your role.
• Have current CPR/BLS certification.
• Possess strong computer and communication skills.
• Be capable of lifting a 50lb emergency response bag.
• Have a positive, outgoing personality and a passion for providing excellent care.

It’s a Plus If:

• You are comfortable working in a clinic environment.
• You have occupational health or emergency medicine experience.
