Job summary

Priority Ondemand seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to provide standby emergency medical care and transportation at special event venues in Chattanooga, TN. You will respond to emergency scenes, hospitals and other locations to offer high-quality patient care and safe transport according to local protocols.

The role requires maintaining readiness of EMS vehicles and equipment, coordinating with dispatch and medical control, and ensuring accurate documentation while upholding HIPAA and safety

Qualifications

• Must possess a high degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
• Currently licensed, certified or registered by the appropriate state agencies.
• Currently certified in CPR by the AHA or other appropriate organization.
• Currently certified in ACLS, PALS and/or other specialty certifications as required.
• Currently licensed with the appropriate level of state motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and good judgment.
• Must maintain professional interaction with patients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensures ambulance and equipment are ready for use at the start of each shift and after each call.
• Maintains security of buildings, vehicles, equipment, medications and company property.
• Communicates with dispatch, medical control and other agencies via radio, data link, pager or cell phone.
• Responds to emergencies and non-emergencies following state law and EMS regulations.
• Delivers patients to appropriate facilities and completes required documentation.
