Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver healthcare, including:
    • Administer medications
    • Conduct medical intakes and assess fitness for incarceration
    • Respond to sick call requests and coordinate with medical providers
    • Change dressings as required
    • Perform 14-day physicals
    • Manage chronic care
    • Provide health education
    • Respond to emergencies, perform life-saving measures, and lead in crises
    • Maintain pharmacology knowledge and medication costs
    • Guide Medically Trained Personnel as needed
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Bartholomew County Jail

Shift

7 PM - 7 AM, PRN (as needed)

Requirements
  • Valid EMT, Paramedic, or QMA certification preferred
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
