Job summary

The schedule runs 11:00 am to 11:00 pm with variable days; licensure in Texas EMS Paramedic or National Registry is required, plus current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Successful completion and maintenance of a Paramedic training program/certification.
• Texas EMS-Paramedic or National Registry licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare setting within a critical care environment.

Job description

The paramedic is responsible for the delivery of quality care for ill or injured patients under varied conditions in collaboration with department specific personnel. The paramedic must be highly motivated and able to function using assessment skills and written standards as defined by departmental policy. Must also be able to participate in Departmental committees, public relations, and outreach education.

Work Schedule 11:00 am - 11:00 pm working variable days during the week and weekend.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Successful completion and maintenance of Department of State Health Services or National Registry approved Paramedic training program/certification/license.
• Upon hire: Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems Or
• Upon hire: Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
• 2 years Experience in a healthcare setting within a critical care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Covenant Ambulance:
• Experience in emergency medical services.
