Job summary

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center (KMHC) is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join our team. The Paramedic administers basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital settings under physician direction and prioritizes medical procedures to be followed or adjusted as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be state certified as a paramedic through the State of Michigan.
• Must have a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate.
• Must have completed an emergency vehicle driving course.

Responsibilities

• Administers basic and advanced life support to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital setting as directed by physician.
• Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance.
• Transports sick and injured persons to treatment center. May oversee a team of emergency medical technicians.
