Job summary

Medcor is seeking an EMT or Paramedic to work on a PRN basis as an Onsite Health Technician at a construction site clinic in Abernathy, Texas. The role requires collaboration with medical teams and providing patient care, including treatment and case management. Ideal candidates will hold valid licensure and CPR/BLS certifications.

Hours include Monday to Saturday, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, subject to change based on client needs. A positive attitude, effective communication skills, and a willingness to support health initiatives are essential.

Job description

Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Abernathy, Texas.

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:30am to 5:00pm. Times and days are subject to change based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
• Provide patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.
• Work closely with outside medical providers.
• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic.
• Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
• Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols.
• Build and maintain internal team relationships.
• Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
• Pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
• Document care using state‑of‑the-art EMR and other tools.
• Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
• Case management.
• Medical charting.
• OSHA record‑keeping.
