Job summary

USA Health is seeking an EMT to provide on-scene patient care and transport support across Mobile and surrounding areas. You will assess conditions, implement a plan of action, and communicate patient status to the supervising nurse while ensuring safety and infection control standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, EMT licensure in Alabama, and BCLS certification; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an EMT course.
• EMT licensure in Alabama (required).
• BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
• Arrives to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action.
• Uses appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury.
• Monitors patient condition and performs data collection.
• Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Staff Nurse.
• Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements.
• Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
• Related duties as assigned.
