Job summary

Summit Medical Group in Knoxville is seeking an experienced EMT, LPN, or CMA/RMA to join the Ft. Sanders practice on a full-time basis.

The role includes patient preparation, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and assisting physicians with procedures. Responsibilities include triage by phone, test result follow-ups, patient education, and maintaining clean exam rooms while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program in Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician.
• Current TN Practical Nursing License (LPN), Nationally Certified Medical Assistant or TN Certified EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares patients for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
• Records vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, height, weight) accurately.
• Performs phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors and assists physicians with procedures.
• Assists with medications and patient education; conducts phone triage and referrals as needed.
• Maintains patient records, schedules appointments, and keeps exam rooms clean and stocked.
