Job summary

Christus Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to respond to medical emergencies and assist in delivering care on an advanced life support ambulance. The EMT will coordinate with physicians and responders, perform triage, and ensure vehicle and equipment readiness for transport to a medical facility.

The role requires EMT-B certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to document all care and actions in compliance with_state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• EMT-B certification or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide medical care
• Coordinate with physicians and team members to plan patient care
• Assist in triage, treatment planning, and patient transport
• Inspect and maintain ambulance and equipment for readiness and cleanliness
• Complete documentation in compliance with regulations
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Communicate effectively with firefighters, law enforcement, and other responders
• Participate in ongoing EMS training and credential updates
