CERT is seeking knowledgeable and engaging EMT Lecturers to deliver classroom instruction within our initial EMT certification programs. This position is specifically focused on presenting lecture-based curriculum. EMT Lecturers are responsible for helping students understand and apply foundational emergency medical concepts through clear explanations, practical examples, case discussions, and active classroom engagement. This is not primarily a skills-lab or academy administration position. Lecturers will be assigned specific topics based on their education, professional experience, instructional strengths, and availability.
Prior formal teaching experience is preferred but is not required for applicants who demonstrate strong subject knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to engage a classroom.
EMT Lecturers are paid $30–$37 per hour, based on certification level, education, field experience, teaching experience, and demonstrated instructional ability.
CERT provides initial EMT education and other emergency medical training programs in Northern Virginia. Our programs combine classroom instruction, hands‑on skills development, realistic patient scenarios, and performance‑based evaluation to prepare students for certification and entry into the EMS profession.
