Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque seeks an EMT-Intermediate/Advanced EMT to provide high-volume pre-hospital emergency response and inter-facility transport. You’ll document patient encounters, work with ImageTrend Elite, and pursue ongoing licensure through onsite education and sponsorships.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current New Mexico EMT-Intermediate/AEMT license.
  • Must maintain BLS and DOT certifications.
  • FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses completed or in progress.
  • CPR certification and EMT-Intermediate licensure skills.
  • 1–2 years EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-volume pre-hospital 911 emergency response and inter-facility transportation.
  • Document and maintain accurate medical records using ImageTrend Elite.
  • Operate emergency vehicles in EVOC accordance with policy.
  • Participate in in-house continuing education and licensure sponsorships.
  • Support on-site wellness and benefits from day one; participate in shift schedules (13s or 10s).
  • Attend department meetings and implement best practices to reduce response times.

Join Albuquerque Ambulance Services (AAS) as an EMT-Intermediate or Advanced EMT and make a real impact in emergency medical care. As an AEMT, you'll deliver high-volume pre-hospital 911 emergency response and inter-facility transportation.

Work Schedule: (3) 13-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts in Days, Nights, or Swing shifts

Sign on bonuses $4,000-$7,500

depending on level of experience, available for qualified candidates.

How you support the community.
  • Documents and maintains accurate medical records for patient encounters through use of ImageTrend Elite.
  • Provides prehospital 911 emergency care and/or Inter-facility transportation for injured and/or ill patients.
  • Performs in scope ILS interventions such as oxygen administration, CPR, defibrillation, splinting, bleeding control, and wound dressing
  • Attendance at departmental staff meetings and/or in-service educational programs while keeping current with developments in the field.
  • Proactively utilizes best practices to minimize response and drop times.
  • Operates emergency vehicles in a safe manner, consistent with EVOC.
Shift Differentials
  • $2.00/hr Ambulance Service Differential, earned on all hours worked.
  • $5.00/hr Night Differential, earned on eligible night hours, stacks on base rate.
  • $3.00/hr Weekend Differential, earned on eligible weekend hours, stacks on base rate.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current New Mexico driver’s license is required (out-of-state candidates have 30 days from date of hire to obtain) without relevant restrictions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policy
  • Must possess and maintain a State of New Mexico EMT-Intermediate/AEMT license
  • Must maintain all required certifications (i.e. BLS, DOT certification)
  • Must be up to date with FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses
  • Ability to perform CPR and all skills associated with EMT-Intermediate licensure
  • 1-2 years of EMT experience preferred
