Job summary

Mercy in Mount Vernon, MO, is seeking an EMT for a full-time role. The position requires direct patient care, assessment, and basic life support, aligned with Mercy Health System standards. EMT-I duties may include clerical, dispatch, and maintenance tasks as needed.

Schedule is 42 hours weekly with a sign-on bonus and varying shifts. Licensure must be EMT in the employed state, and a valid driver's license is required. Physical fitness tests are part of pre-hire and annual requirements.

Qualifications

• EMT license required (state where employed)
• Must be at least 19 years old to operate Mercy EMS vehicles
• Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 90 days of hire
• Preferred ITLS or equivalent training
• May be required to work differing shifts and schedules

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support.
• May perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
