The City of Santee is seeking EMTs for part-time and full-time roles on fire department ambulances. Shifts may be 12 or 24 hours; overtime may be required to ensure ALS staffing.

Candidates must hold a CA EMT-B certification with San Diego County accreditation, a CA Class C driver’s license, and an ambulance driver’s certificate. AHA/BLS/CPR certification is required. Full-time roles are benefited; part-time roles are non-benefited.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age at time of hire.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess valid California EMT-B certification with accreditation in San Diego County at the time of hire, which must be maintained for the duration of their assignment.
• Possess a CA Class C Driver’s License
• Ambulance driver’s certificate at time of hire
• AHA, BLS, CPR certification or equivalent

Responsabilités

• Safely respond to fire, medical, and other emergency calls with an emergency response team.
• Perform emergency medical patient assessment and treatment as indicated and necessary in accordance with EMS protocols.
• Maintain records and prepare written reports.
• Obtain required certifications to drive and operate staff vehicles and ambulances as required.
• Assist in maintenance of vehicles, equipment, fire station, and grounds.
