Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking a dedicated EMT for full-time pre-hospital care in Waconia, MN. You will provide rapid assessment, treatment and transportation for non-critically ill or injured patients under physician medical control.

Responsibilities include basic life support, patient rapport, accurate reporting, equipment maintenance and readiness. A high school diploma, MN EMT certification and BLS are required; a valid MN driver license with insurability is needed. On-call and shift work apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Ridgeview insurability requirements.
• Current MN EMT certification.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid MN driver’s license and meets Ridgeview insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic life support as needed in compliance with state, local and Ridgeview procedures.
• Establishes rapport with patients and families to ensure safe transport.
• Responds to emergencies by selecting route, monitoring traffic, and coordinating with dispatcher.
• Completes reports accurately.
• Maintains equipment through preventive maintenance and repairs as needed.
