Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical care within the EMT scope of practice.
• Assess, monitor, and support patients during transportation.
• Assist with patient movement, lifting, transfers, loading, and unloading as needed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls and transportation requests.
• Maintain accurate patient care reports and transportation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare facilities, dispatchers, and medical personnel.
• Perform vehicle and equipment checks to ensure the ambulance or transport vehicle is clean, safe, and stocked.
• Follow established medical protocols, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy requirements.
• Monitor patient needs and communicate any changes in condition.
• Complete shift handovers and convey relevant information to incoming staff.
