Job summary

MedFleet, LLC is seeking EMT-B professionals to provide emergency and non-emergency transport, working with municipal and private EMS partners to deliver high-quality patient care in both urban and rural settings. You will maintain vehicles, complete documentation, and adhere to SOPs.

The role requires Florida EMT-B, a valid Florida driver license, BLS certification, and being at least 18 years old; you will participate in CME courses and uphold professional standards in all duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Florida EMT-B certification is required.

• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge of protocols.
• Assess and treat with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment), any medical situation while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism according to current company standards.
• Must maintain neat and professional appearance at all times in accordance with SOP.
• Maintain the ambulance and equipment in a clean, organized and response ready mode.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance and equipment, its function and use and reporting defective equipment and supplies to the supervisor as required.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with other individuals within the community and EMS system.
• Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures provided in the SOP, Medical Operations Manual and Code of Conduct.
• Responsible for maintaining current state and county certifications.
• Must attend all CME courses as required MedFleet Clinical Services.
• Performs other such duties as may be required.

Job description

Providing both emergency and non-emergency transport of patients. MedFleet EMT’s will collaborate with Municipal, County, and private Fire / rescue services as well as other medical staff, patients and family members. EMT’s will take great care in the maintenance and operation of company vehicles, and shall thoroughly and accurately complete and submit all required documentation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Prompt and regular attendance at work.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Florida EMT-B certification (Information for out-of-state applicants or to renewclick here )
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment.
• Current BLS Certification
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• The EMT is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear. The EMT is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.
• Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and to blood/body fluids, requires respirator use, fumes/odors, extended day, and temperature changes. Frequently works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment. Performs shift work and performs duties frequently in a mobile environment and in confined areas.
