Job description

The Arrow EMT responds to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, providing patient care under the supervision of a paramedic.

Key responsibilities include

• responding promptly to calls,
• monitoring ambulance readiness,
• maintaining clear communication about crew and vehicle status,
• cleaning ambulances and equipment daily,
• providing guidance to EMTs during calls,
• transporting patients, including wheelchair van services.

Applicants must hold an EMT License in Illinois and a Driver's License upon hire. Additional certifications such as NIMS 200, 700, 800, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Emergency Response to Terrorism are required within six months.

Candidates should have a working knowledge of the EMS system, ability to work under supervision, and prior testing into the EMS system or relevant experience.
