Champion EMS in Texas seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergency scenes, provide essential EMS care, and assist in coordinating medical responses with physicians. The role includes leading responders, managing equipment checks, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The EMT will participate in ongoing training, support patient transport, and maintain thorough documentation while upholding high standards of patient care and teamwork in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• Responds to life-threatening and emergency medical situations.
• Assists physicians to develop plan of care based on patient assessment.
• Leads a team of responders coordinating triage, treatment plans, and transport preparation.

Responsibilities

• Responds to the site of life-threatening situations, emergency medical situations and non-emergency calls.
• Assists in coordinating response activities with physicians to develop a plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient.
• Assists in leading a team of responders by coordinating activities to conduct triage, develop treatment plans, administer medical care and prepare patient for transport to medical facility.
• Insures the proper functioning of all emergency medical equipment and vehicles through regular checks; maintains inventory aboard emergency vehicles.
• Interacts with firefighters, law enforcement and other non-medical personnel at emergency scenes.
• Performs administrative tasks and detailed documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Responds to multiple casualty incidents and disasters and assists in providing medical oversight, triage, care, and transport.
• Operates ambulance and related medical care equipment; adheres to policies and safety norms.
• Upholds HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all duties.
• Demonstrates learner attitude and teamwork to support optimal patient care.
