Job summary

City of Santee is seeking EMT personnel for part-time and full-time positions. EMTs respond to medical emergencies, participate in training, and assist with ambulance operations while ensuring patient care and safety.

Requirements include EMT-B certification in San Diego County, a valid California driver’s license, and CPR/BLS credentials. Candidates should be prepared for shift work and mandatory overtime to ensure ALS staffing.

Qualifications

• Must have CA EMT-B certification with San Diego County accreditation at hire.
• Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold CA Class C driver's license and ambulance driver certificate.
• AHA/BLS/CPR certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely responding to fire, medical, and other emergency calls with an emergency response team.
• Perform emergency medical patient assessment and treatment per protocols.
• Maintain records and prepare written reports.
• Drive and operate ambulances and maintain equipment per policy.
