Job summary

AmeriPro EMSis seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide essential Basic Life Support care and safe medical transport. This role emphasizes patient assessment, direct BLS treatment, and strong teamwork in support of Paramedics and public safety partners.

Qualifications

• Previous EMT work experience.
• PHTLS and/or ITLS training.
• Proficiency with standard technology and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide BLS interventions ( CPR, oxygen, bleeding control, splinting, vital signs).
• Assist Paramedics by preparing equipment and performing delegated tasks during ALS calls.
• Monitor patient condition during transport and relay updates to the Paramedic or receiving facility.
• Document BLS care and patient interactions accurately and timely.
• Operate ambulance safely following driving standards and regulations.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness through inspections and restocking.
• Perform stretcher operations and assist with safe patient transport.
• Engage in training and quality improvement activities to maintain EMT proficiency.
