Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking an EMT Emergency Transport team member to support transport and in-ED patient care under RN supervision. The ES Transport EMT will assist Paramedics and work within the Emergency Department to ensure safe treatment and transport of patients.

Qualifications include EMT-State, BLS within 30 days, EVOC within 60 days, and a valid Driver License. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing training are provided as part of the hospital’s total rewards program.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of start date.
• EVOC must be obtained within 60 days of start date.
• EMT-State license is required.
• A valid Driver License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of patients.
• Provide care under RN direction in the Emergency Department and during transport.
• Communicate, document, and support the Healthcare team as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality patient care and transport.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Emergency Services (ES) Transport EMT will operate on the North Texas Division Transport Services’ Team. The primary duty of the ES Transport EMT will be to assist the Paramedic in rendering safe and effective treatment and transport of Medical City Hospital patients.
• As needed, the ES Transport EMT may function within the free-standing Medical City Alliance Emergency Departments and the main Medical City Alliance Hospital Emergency Department.
• While working in the Emergency Department, the ES EMT will provide quality care to patients under the direction of a RN, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Medical City Hospital.
• The ES EMT will serve as a member of the Healthcare team through active communication; documentation; feedback and assistance as needed or requested.

• What qualifications you will need:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (EVOC) Emergency Vehicle Operations Course must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician
