Ensure safe transportation of ill or injured patients. Maintain ambulance in clean condition and working order. Perform regular routine inspections prior to each shift to ensure safe operation of the vehicle. Assist with stocking the ambulance with needed supplies and ensure on-board equipment is in working order. Perform the duties of an EMT or Paramedic, depending on qualifications, as needed Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Required. Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Required. Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Required. Emergency Medical Tech specializing in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. (EVOC), or (CEVO) credentialed from Coaching Systems. Required. Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required. Work Experience: Minimum Qualification: Three years of experience in Emergency Medical Services. Preferred Qualification: Five years of experience in Emergency Medical Services.
