Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an EMT for Medical Transport to provide pre-hospital and inter-facility care under the supervision of the Medical Transport Supervisor. The role requires knowledge of treatment and stabilization within Georgia EMT scope and will care for patients from neonate to geriatric across shifts.

Candidates must hold a State EMT-I or AEMT license, a HS diploma or GED, and complete Defensive Driving and BLS training.

Qualifications

• State license as EMT-I or AEMT is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Defensive Driving course and BLS required.
• Knowledge of GA EMT Scope of Practice for licensed EMTs.
• Maintain all certifications required by GA EMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency medicine for pre-hospital care and inter-facility treatment.
• Keep ambulance clean, fueled, and stocked at all times.
• Document patient care accurately per GA standards.
• Pursue continuing education for medic licensure.
• Dress in NGHS uniform per policies and procedures.
