Job summary

Morris County Hospital EMS in Council Grove, KS is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide critical pre-hospital care on emergency calls and during transport. As part of our EMS team, you will perform BLS procedures, monitor patients, maintain equipment, and communicate clearly with hospital staff; shifts may include nights and weekends.

Certification in EMT, CPR and First Aid is required, with state licensure and ongoing recertification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an EMT training program and CPR/First Aid certification.
• State certification/licensing required with ongoing recertification.
• Prior emergency response experience or volunteering preferred, but OJT can be arranged.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patient conditions.
• Provide basic life support and transport patients.
• Maintain equipment and restock supplies.
• Assist with advanced medical procedures under supervision.
• Document patient data and communicate with hospital staff.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
