Qualifications

• Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Virginia.
• AHA BLS - HCP required.
• HAZMAT Awareness and PHTLS or BTLS Basic required within one year of hire date.
• All driving positions require that you provide a copy of your current driving record and meet eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed.
• Administers emergency procedures such as extrication of patient and defibrillation; initiates treatments at the basic level.
• Transports patients to hospital or non-hospital sites while maintaining safety and documenting care.
