Job summary

Massac Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time EMT Basic to respond to emergencies, provide immediate patient care, and transport to medical facilities. The role requires adherence to hospital policies, OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulations, with a focus on compassionate customer service.

You must hold a valid IL EMT-B license, a BLS card, and a valid state driver’s license; minimum one year ambulance experience is preferred. Training and competency testing are required to maintain readiness.

• Must be able to maintain composure in extremely stressful situations.
• Must have a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ambulance readiness to respond to emergency calls and prepares ambulance for next run.
• Drives ambulance to location using expeditious route and observes traffic regulations.
• Provides patient care from arrival at scene through transport to the facility.
• Performs administrative duties including reporting on each run (trip tickets, property form, receipts).
• Comply with hospital policies and provide exceptional customer service.
