Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for part-time, immediate openings in Purvis, MS. The role focuses on responding to emergency and non-emergency requests, delivering high-quality care and customer service, and working with public safety personnel.

The position requires EMT certification, CPR/BLS, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED. Wages start at $15.00 per hour DOE, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• National or State EMT certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certifications are required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in line with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the company image and build community relations.
