Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance. The EMT Basic will assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver high-quality emergency services with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, EMT certification, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Driver’s License required.
• National or State EMT certification required.
• CPR/BLS certifications required.
• Driving record must meet company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in compliance with company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
