Job summary

City Ambulance Service is actively expanding our Paramedic team in Corpus Christi, Texas. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency transports, assess conditions, provide first-aid and advanced life support, and transport patients to hospitals while communicating with physicians and staff.

We offer a full-time rotating schedule (48 ON/96 OFF variations), no-cap overtime, and a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with matching, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must hold State of Texas Paramedic license (or other compact state license).
• 2 years of EMS experience preferred.
• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to coordinate with others in stressful situations and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid and advanced life support.
• Explain procedures and relay information to physicians and staff.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance and transfer to hospitals.
• Document care provided in a timely manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment.
• Maintain crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.

About the Job:

Pay starting at $77,096/yr up to $93,856/yr (depending on experience) working a full-time rotating schedule.

Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week.

No Cap on Overtime.

Schedule Types Available:

48 ON/96 OFF. Schedules vary by location and are subject to change.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, San Angelo, Lubbock, Temple, Killeen, Round Rock, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of Paramedics here in Corpus Christi, Texas and Surrounding areas. We are currently seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated Paramedics to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.


• Assess a patient's condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.


• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.


• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.


• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.


• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.


• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.


• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.


• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.


• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.


• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.


• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.


• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.


• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.


• State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license REQUIRED.


• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
