Qualifications

• Current EMT certification or higher (e.g., paramedic), required.
• Two years of full-time EMS experience, required.
• Teaching experience preferred, especially in adult education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial; must engage professionally with students and staff.
• Ability to utilize current technology and teaching tools to enhance the learning experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability to various teaching methodologies and environments, including hybrid formats as needed.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising students during classroom and practical skills training to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
• Keeping students informed on course content, requirements, evaluation methods, and attendance policies.
• Developing, revising, and recommending curriculum adjustments that align with industry standards and improve student learning outcomes.
• Ensuring courses meet WSU Tech standards and include all relevant curricular components while employing effective teaching strategies reflective of current emergency medical practices.
