Job summary

County of Mono seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to render life saving care and support at a dedicated rescue station. You will work with a partner on a 24-hour shift, provide BLS and assist ALS as trained, and participate in extrications and incident responses across diverse environments.

Prerequisites include a CA EMT 1A license, BLS certification, and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check. Training in CPR/First Aid is required, with readiness for on-call duties.

Qualifications

• CA EMT 1A license and ICEMA region knowledge.
• BLS protocols per local certifying agency (ICEMA).
• CPR and First Aid knowledge required.
• Willingness to pass extensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Work at station with partner on a 24-hour shift.
• Provide Basic Life Support and assist with ALS as trained.
• Assist in patient extrication and scene management with partner agencies.
• Respond to emergencies by foot, vehicle, helicopter, or other means.
• Operate rescue unit under challenging conditions and complete paperwork promptly.
• Perform over-the-side rescues as trained and respond to fire ground incidents.
