Job summary

Qualifications

• Provide basic emergency medical care within the EMT scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPR, first aid, bleeding control, and other interventions within the EMT’s scope of practice.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, dispatchers, healthcare providers, and other emergency personnel.
• Complete accurate and timely patient care reports and required documentation.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and restock the ambulance and medical equipment.
• Follow established medical protocols, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate and respectful care.
• Participate in required training, continuing education, and competency assessments.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides emergency and basic medical care to patients in a variety of situations.
