Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time EMT to care for client employees at our Health Center in Maryville, TN. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Advanced EMT certification is strongly preferred, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered to all full-time team members. The role includes patient assessment, on-scene care, documentation, and coordination with healthcare providers to ensure timely treatment and safe transport when needed.

Qualifications

• Current EMT Certification in the state where work will be performed.
• Advanced EMT Certification strongly preferred.
• At least three years of EMT experience with ambulance/EMS service.

Responsibilities

• Assess illness/injury and establish priorities; provide initial treatment to stabilize patient.
• Observe, record, and report patient condition to provider.
• Assist in extricating patients and transport to treatment centers.
• Communicate with medical personnel and stay updated on treatment protocols.
• Maintain records, clean equipment, and restock supplies.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury, establishes priorities, and administers initial treatment at the scene to stabilize patient until higher level of health care is provided
• Observes, records, and reports patient condition and treatments to provider
• Assists in extricating trapped victims: transports sick and injured persons to treatment centers
• Communicates with medical personnel and stays updated on treatment techniques and protocols
• Conducts safety inspections, prepares reports, and maintains records
• Cleans emergency vehicle, requisitions supplies, and restocks materials and equipment
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current, unencumbered EMT Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of experience as an EMT with an ambulance/EMS service
